New publication by Dimitri della Faille and Cedrik Fermont in the book “Sound Art” co-edited by Sanne Krogh Groth (Lund University, Sweden) and Holger Schulze (University of Copenhagen, Denmark).

The chapter entitled “Sound Art in East and Southeast Asia. Historical and Political Considerations” covers some historical trajectory of sound art in East Asia (Japan, China, Taiwan) and South East Asia (Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, etc.). The chapter puts the history of sound art in perspective with international relations durant the Cold War as well as the period of authoritarian regimes in the region.
